 Every year at the end of April, Preservation Week is celebrated across the country. The purpose of Preservation Week is to promote the work that librarians do to preserve the materials in their collections, and to educate the public on how to preserve their own collections. Preservation 101 is an introductory look at preserving home collections. This program will cover environmental hazards for book and paper materials as well as tips and tricks for storing and handling collections.
