Black History Month Cooking Demonstration with Toya Boudy

Black History Month Cooking Demonstration with Toya Boudy In-Person

In observance of Black History Month and as we celebrate African Americans and the Arts, we’re excited to have an author visit from a dynamic culinary artist from New Orleans, Toya Boudy!  On Thursday, February 29, 2024, Toya will give a cooking demonstration based off her cookbook at the Young Neighborhood Library.  The moderator for this event will be Fox 26 Houston news anchor, Anthony Antoine.

Please note: For this event, it will be registration only.  Registrants are asked to arrive and be seated by the start of the event.  To avoid any disruption of the demonstration, the door will be closed at the event's starting time, and entry will not be allowed.

*This event will be livestreamed to the Houston Public Library Facebook page.

About Toya Boudy:

As a native New Orleanian, she started honing her culinary skills at a young age and used her talent to kick start a successful career. As a culinary authority on Cajun and Creole cuisine, she enjoys bringing creativity to the kitchen and teaching people how to take a piece of New Orleans back home with them. In her role she is also an ambassador for Louisiana, where she works with organizations to elevate and strengthen diversity within the hospitality, tourism, and culinary industry.
