In the movie Blue Beetle, a teenager named Jaime Reyes finds an ancient alien artifact called the Scarab. The Scarab chooses Jaime to be its host and grants him a powerful suit of armor with unique and sometimes dangerous abilities. This event changes Jaime's life forever, turning him into the superhero known as Blue Beetle.
