Harris County Master Gardeners for Teens In-Person
Houston Public Library is excited to partner with Harris County Master Gardeners, a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, to provide a free gardening program for teens.
Toiday's topic is Hydroponics. Teens will learn what plants need to survive and grow, where our food comes from, and how agriculture is prevalent in large urban areas. Together we will explore the vast growing world of urban agriculture where we will focus on alternative methods to traditional gardening using hydroponics, aeroponics, and aquaponics more particularly we will look at hydroponics. We will also investigate different designs for these particular systems and have youth construct a mini hydroponics system with supplies we have on hand.
This program is for teens, ages 12 - 18. Space is limited. Registration is required and will open two weeks in advanced.
