Houston Public Library is proud to host Relax & Read Parties at various locations across Houston for our Summer Reading for Grown-Ups program! Avid readers are invited to do what they love: Read! Take advantage of the opportunity to relax, read, enjoy soft music, light refreshments, and meet new people! This is not your average book club but rather a time to unwind, kick back, and enjoy yourselves!
Our featured author for this event will be none other than New York Times Best Selling and multiple-award-winning Urban Ficton author, Omar Tyree! He will be on tour this Summer to promote his new book, Control. The setting of this thriller is in Atlanta and centers around a psychologist's work with several talented but toxic entertainment personalities. Omar Tyree will make a stop to Houston at the Johnson Neighborhood Library towards the last leg of his book tour. Kindred Stories will be our bookseller for this event.
Registration for this event is encouraged. This event is free and open to the public.
