Scanning Saturdays In-Person
Do you have any old photos, negatives, slides or documents stored in your home? Did you know you can bring them to the HPL’s Family History Research Center at the Clayton Library Campus to preserve your family memories?
The Family History Research Center has three unique stations available by appointment to use to help digitize your memorabilia:
- SimpleScan Station to digitize your documents and photos.
- VividPix & Negative Station to digitize photos and negatives. Includes the Restore by Vivid-Pix photo restoration software. A quick tutorial and more information about the software can be found HERE.
- ScanSnap Pro Station to digitize slides.
Volunteers will be available to help get you oriented to the scanners in a hands-on training during Scanning Saturdays.
Appointments are scheduled at ; 12:00pm; 1:30pm or 3:00pm this month. Please call 832-393-2600 to reserve your spot!
Things to bring : your photos, negatives, slides and/or documents as well as a flash or thumb drive to save your images to.
