Spanish Art & Culture – The Influence on the American Way of Living: A conversation with author and journalist Paco Reyero

Paco Reyero from Seville, Spain will explore the influences of Spanish Art & Culture on the American way of living including the influence on American artist, writers and entrepreneurs. Our speaker Francisco "Paco" Reyero (Seville, 1971) is a Spanish writer and journalist with a long and fruitful career linked to radio, press and television. He has worked in the American West as a correspondent for Radio Nacional de España (RNE, the main radio station of Spain). Since 2020, he is hosting ATLANTIC EXPRESS, a weekly program about the historical ties between the United States of America and Spain.

Paco has published several successful books on American legends who had a pivotal relationship with Spain such as Sinatra: Nunca volveré a ese maldito país (“Sinatra: I will Never Go Back to that Cursed Country”, Lara Foundation / Planet, 2015), about the crooner's trips to Spain in pursuit of Ava Gardner during Franco's dictatorship and “Clint Eastwood: Made in Spain” ⟮Eastwood: Desde que mi nombre me defiende, Lara Foundation / Planet, 2017), on how the Californian actor found fame and fortune filming Spanish spaghetti westerns.

This hybrid presentation is in collaboration with the Granaderos y Damas de Gálvez- Houston Chapter.
