In this workshop, join 2019-2021 Houston Poet Laureate Leslie Contreras Schwartz as we read works by contemporary poets who use the wealth of personal experience to craft emotionally meaningful poems. We will practice drawing from our own emotionally significant memories to write poems that help us connect with others. Participants will have the opportunity to share their work with the class.
