About the Speaker
Dr. Marco Robinson is a historian, digital humanities practitioner, and specialist in archival and qualitative research methods. His research interests span a range of interdisciplinary topics. These include methodological approaches to working in interdisciplinary teams, best practices for implementing socially responsible computing courses and projects, the afterlives of emancipated people, the establishment of PVAMU, and life in Post-Civil War Era Texas.
In a recently published book chapter, "Building Sustainable Collaborations at a Historically Black College or University: Reflections on Connecting Classrooms, Archives, and Community Partners," Robinson explores effective strategies for interdisciplinary groups of researchers to engage in joint historic preservation projects that connect classrooms, archives, and community partners.
