Join Houston Public Library and Houston Ballet to celebrate the opening of the exhibit, Houston Ballet's The Nutcracker Comes to Life: Staging a Houston Tradition, 1972-Present.

From costumes and set designs to photographs, programs, posters, and news clippings, this exhibition offers a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into an enduring production.

 

Join us for a special family-friendly Dance to Learn program at 10:30 AM and a guided tour starting at 11:45 AM!

 

This event is FREE and all ages are welcome. Registration is encouraged to help the organizers in the planning of the reception.

Registration is required. There are no seats available but a waiting list is available.

NOTE: Parking is free at the Central Library Garage on the weekends. 

  • The garage entrance is on Lamar Street, between Smith and Bagby
  • It may be easier to type in 521 Lamar Street on your GPS, rather than the library address
