Dr. Clementine M. Msengi is an award-winning educator and mentor who survived the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. She speaks nationally and internationally on topics including resilience, spiritual growth in adversity, building faith in times of crisis, leadership, mentorship, community and family health, and the integration experiences of refugees and immigrants. Msengi has earned multiple awards for her leadership and community service, including the prestigious Echoing Green Fellowship. Currently, as a faculty member in the Center for Doctoral Studies in Educational Leadership at Lamar University, she was recently inducted into the Hall of Excellence at the University of Northern Iowa’s College of Education within the School of Health, Physical Education, and Leisure Services for her distinguished contributions to the field. Among her many honors, Dr. Msengi received the Outstanding American by Choice award from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, underscoring her commitment to making a positive impact on society.
