Connecting Through Rhythm: Music Therapy Drumming In-Person
Music has the power to heal, connect, and inspire. This interactive drumming session invites tweens and teens to explore the therapeutic benefits of music in a supportive group setting. Through rhythm and sound, participants will develop coping skills, build confidence, and strengthen social connections.
No prior musical experience is needed! Drums and other rhythm instruments like maracas, cabasas, and rhythm sticks will be available, making it easy for everyone to participate. During the 50-minute session, attendees will:
🔹 Play a variety of rhythm instruments
🔹 Learn and create beats inspired by popular songs
🔹 Take turns leading the group
🔹 Reflect on their experience and the emotions music evokes
This program is all about exploration, self-expression, and community—there’s no right or wrong way to play, just an opportunity to connect through rhythm. Join us and let the beat bring us together!
