Houston Grand Opera In-Person
Opera To Go! is a Houston Grand Opera, high-energy production presented at schools, libraries, and community spaces. Designed to introduce young audiences, families, and seniors to the world of opera, this unique production blends storytelling, music, and theater to create an engaging and unforgettable experience. This season, Opera to Go! presents Mo Willems’ Bite-Sized Operas, a delightful double-bill featuring Slopera! and Don’t Let the Pigeon Sing Up Late!, composed by Carlos Simon with librettos by Mo Willems. Performed in bilingual English/Spanish, this vibrant show comes to life with colorful costumes, portable sets, and captivating performances that bring opera to audiences in a fun and accessible way.
