1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Social Hour In-Person
HPL invites families with little ones (ages 0–5) to take on the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Reading Challenge. It’s a joyful way to build early literacy skills, bond through books, and celebrate every step along the way.
How It Works:

Log the books that you read together using Beanstack. Old favorites or new discoveries, everything counts.

Attend storytimes all year long – they count toward your total!

Track your progress and earn fun prizes at every milestone.

Join us for a monthly 1000 Books Social Hour: a special event with stories, music, crafts, and family fun!
Bonus: All books read during our Seasons Readings program will count toward both challenges!
