Reading Buddies: After-School Reading Support In-Person
Looking to support a child’s reading confidence and love of books? Join us for Reading Buddies, a welcoming literacy program that pairs elementary school students, with high school or college-aged mentors for one-on-one reading support.
Each session includes a 20-minute reading time where students choose a book to read aloud while their Reading Buddy listens, encourages, and assists as needed. Literacy-based activities will also be available while participants wait for their session. Programs are free and designed with our community in mind. Every participating reader will receive a free book to take home at each session, generously funded by the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation.
