Centennial Celebration: Gregory Elementary School Building In-Person
Celebrate a century of history, learning, and community at the Gregory Elementary Schools Building Centennial! For 100 years, the building has stood as a landmark of education and a symbol of resilience in Houston. While the school’s legacy reaches even further back, this special event honors the building that has shaped generations of students and educators.
Whether you’re a former student, a neighbor, or a lover of history, this is a chance to reflect, reconnect, and celebrate a treasured community landmark featuring:
- A special screening highlighting the school’s history
- Live storytelling celebrating the legacy of Black education in Houston and the South
- A curated exhibit of photographs, artifacts, and community memories
- Opportunities to connect with local organizations preserving Black history and culture
