Dr. Will Guzmán has published Landmark & Legacies: A Guide to Tallahassee's African American Heritage (2000); Civil Rights in the Texas Borderlands (2015); Emmett J. Scott: Power Broker of the Tuskegee Machine (2023); The Hill We Climbed: Prairie View A&M University (2026); and Justice on "The Hill": A History of Activism at Prairie View A&M University (2026). He has taught at Prairie View A&M University, his alma mater Florida A&M University, and is currently an assistant vice chancellor of international affairs and community engagement at North Carolina Central University in Durham.
