SUMMARY:Musical Performance by Sax Ministry
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to rock to some tunes this summer? Join us for a 
 dynamic one-hour performance by Sax Ministry at some of our locations. He 
 is a one-man show and a multiple award-winning jazz saxophonist who will be 
 serenading us with the wonderful sounds of music!\n\nThis event is part of 
 our Summer Reading for Grown-ups Program.\n\n \n\nABOUT THE PERFORMER: 
 VINCE GREER\, a multi-award-winning Jazz Saxophonist born in Houston\, 
 Texas\, began playing the saxophone at age 10. He attended the High School 
 for Performing and Visual Arts in Houston\, Texas where he studied both 
 classical and jazz saxophone. Vince continued his musical studies at 
 Adelphi University and Skidmore University in New York. \n\nHe has been a 
 recipient of several awards including the Conrad Johnson Award for 
 outstanding soloist. He was also a member of the TMEA All-State Jazz Band. 
 Vince has shared stages with artists such as Walter Smith III\, Gerald 
 Albright\, Everette Harp\, Solange Knowles\, Mario Dewer Barrett\, Kim 
 Burrell\, Christian Scott\, Robert Glasper\, Terrace Martin\, Kirk Whalum\, 
 Bobby Lyle\, Conrad Johnson and many more. \n\nHe is one of the leading 
 jazz saxophonists in the nation whose style is creative and intuitive. His 
 sound encompasses elements of Funk\, Soul\, Rhythm and Blues\, Hip-Hop\, 
 Pop and Gospel... all uniquely blended with an undertone of Jazz. Vince is 
 well-known throughout the southern region of the United States and is 
 constantly "pushing the envelope" as he transitions into the national and 
 international music industries. He has dedicated his life to serving 
 timeless musical ministrations through the medium of Sax Ministry as he 
 continues to travel on this music journey. He hopes to inspire many through 
 his love and dedication for music and soften hearts with his enchanting 
 saxophone styles.
